5 egg-citing spring cards to help their creativity blossom!

Hello all! Since Mother Nature is in full bloom, I've brought to you some brilliantly bright and downright cheery card ideas that you can use with your little ones at home. Some of these cards can be used as a belated Easter craft, as a Spring craft, or just to have plain old fun :) Let's get started!

Cherry Blossoms (above).

You will need:

Strips of black card.
Cotton buds.
White and pink paint.
Pink tissue paper.

Steps:

1. Firstly, stick the strips of black card down to make it look like branches of a tree.
2. Then, with a cotton bud, dot some white paint in groups of five to make your cherry blossoms.
3. Repeat with the pink paint.
4. Finally, scrunch up your pink tissue paper and stick on the branches to make blossoms. This will add depth to your beautiful blossoms!

Sunny Spring!

You will need:

Plastic fork.
Yellow paint.
Googly eyes/black paint.
Coloured tissue paper.

Steps:

1. Firstly, draw a circle at the top of your card and using your fork, paint it yellow.
2. Then, using squares of blue tissue paper, make the sky ensuring you trim away anything that covers the sun.
3. Next, scrunch up pink and purple tissue paper to make a field of flowers. (I added some artificial flowers too!)
4. Finally, now your sun is dry, stick on your googly eyes or make a face using a black felt tip.

Egg-stra special Present!

You will need:

Ribbon, or an old bow.
Candle.
Watercolours.

Steps:

1. Firstly, you need to draw an oval shape on the card using the candle.
2. Then, draw some different patterns using the candle, making sure you do not go over patterns.
3. Next, paint over your egg design using the watercolours and watch the magic happen!
4. Finally, use some ribbon or an old bow to stick on the top of the egg. Voila!

Bloomin' Beautiful

You will need:

Tissue paper.
Watercolours.
Gold pen/gold foil.

Steps:

1. Firstly, cut out six flower shapes and six leaves from coloured tissue paper.
2. Then, stick two flowers together, making sure you rotate the second flower at a slight angle.
3.  Repeat so you have used all the flowers and stick onto the card.
4. Scrunch some tissue paper and stick in the middle of each flower.
4. Paint a stem from each flower, and stick on your leaves.
5. Finally, using the gold pen/foil, add on details like the leaf veins and the pollen on the flower!

Lacy Egg

You will need:

Watercolours.
Doily.

Steps:

1. Firstly, draw an egg shape on your card.
2. Then, lay your doily over the top and paint over with the watercolour.
3. Next, keep snipping the doily down to size to keep within the arched egg shape and repeat  painting.
4. Finally, lift up the doily to reveal a beautiful lace effect egg.

I hope the above ideas will keep you occupied and unleash the creativity within! If you feel that you would like to adapt or change anything, you are more than welcome to! Till next time, stay safe and stay home! :)
